FXI, Inc. Announces Voluntary Recall for
Novaform ComfortGrande (14”) and DreamAway (8”) Mattresses
September 21, 2023 – Today, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (the “Commission”) issued a Joint Press Release with FXI, Inc. (“FXI”) regarding the voluntary recall described below. FXI is cooperating with the Commission to ensure that any affected consumers receive a satisfactory resolution.
June 26, 2023 – FXI, Inc. (“FXI”) today announced a voluntary recall for the refund or replacement of ComfortGrande 14-inch mattresses manufactured between January 2, 2023 to April 30, 2023 and DreamAway 8-inch mattresses manufactured between January 30, 2023 to April 30, 2023.
FXI has determined that a certain group of mattresses, manufactured at its San Bernardino, California facility, manufactured between the above dates and sold through Costco may have been exposed to water during the manufacturing process. As a result, these mattresses may be damp or may have developed mold after being packaged for shipment. FXI has reported the matter to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Q: How is the recall being conducted?
A: You may call FXI at 888-886-2057 (available 8am to 5:30pm ET Monday through Friday) to arrange for a replacement of your mattress or a full refund of your purchase price. FXI will pick up the existing mattress from your home and, if a replacement is requested, deliver a new one, at no cost to you.
Q: If I am happy with my mattress, must I still participate in the recall?
A: It is quite possible that your mattress was not affected even though it falls within the manufacturing dates. Not all mattresses manufactured during that time are affected.
Q: How can I tell if my product is affected by the recall?
A: Please check your mattress and specifically inspect the attached law tag to determine if your mattress is subject to this recall. This recall includes mattresses manufactured in FXI’s San Bernadino, California facility between the manufacturing dates of January 2, 2023 to April 30, 2023 for the ComfortGrande 14-inch models and January 30, 2023 to April 30, 2023 for the DreamAway 8-inch models. If your mattress was manufactured in another FXI facility, it was not affected.
